-

AL (39) risks spending the next 20 years in the state penitentiary for having infected his 4 underage stepchildren (6, 7, 8, 9) with HIV. The district attorney pointed out that the man had sexually abused the children from 2009 until 2013 and that he was aware that he has HIV. The district attorney also pointed out that all of the victims have given a detailed and consistent statement, explaining how they were sexually abused by the defendant along the Algoeweg and at Paranam. The man was often home alone with the kids. The children often helped him to fix cars. The defendant told the court that he found out in 2009 and in 2013 that he had HIV. Investigators indicated that the suspect in 2009 found out that he had the virus. The psychological report indicates that the defendant has an intellectual disability and that there is a moderate to high probability that he will repeat these sex crimes. “It is very condemnable that he targeted Young victims. They will have to deal with the trauma and this serious disease for the rest of their lives,” said the district attorney who also demanded that the defendant be treated by a psychologist. Defense Attorney Shefani Amirkhan pointed out that her client made a full confession and that he had cooperated fully with the investigation. The judge will reportedly announce the verdict on February 27.
