GTT donates collection boxes to Red Cross

GTT on Friday donated 40 collection boxes to the Guyana Red Cross Society (GRCS) to assist in bolstering the fund-raising programmed of the organization, in fulfillment of their mission “to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity.” Resource and Mobilization Coordinator, Anna LisaPhang, who was present at the handing over ceremony, expressed the society’s appreciation to GTT while using the opportunity to appeal to all other corporate entities to follow GTT’s lead in supporting the work of the GRCS.

The boxes will be placed in locations across Georgetown, commencing this week and persons are encouraged to donate generously. “The funds collected from the boxes will be specifically used in the delivery of service to the Children’s Convalescent Home, Meals on Wheels and the Wellness Clinic programmers,” GTT explained.

The presentation was done by GTT’s, Public Relations Officer, Allison Parker, who remarked that the company is pleased to have contributed to the society’s programmed. “GTT is committed to positively affecting the lives of citizens, not only through its core business, but by the many Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives it continues to support.”
