but I went to the airport at =anderij on Thursday to leave for the Netherlands. That is why I don’t get why the authorities are looking for me,” Radj Oedit told Times of Suriname. The police on Thursday issued a warrant for the arrest of the suspect Ramchender (Radj) Oedit. The police indicate that the suspect participated in a crime organi]ation and that he broke the law on narcotics. “My health is my number one concern which is why I am currently in the Netherlands but I have already contacted my lawyers and they will contact the authorities. I will be here for medical treatment for at least two weeks and then I will return to Suriname. I want to see who will arrest because I have done nothing wrong. I have nothing to do with the drug case that is being investigated,” said Oedit who added that the submarine was not sei]ed on his property but on somebody else’s property. +e claimed that the police had instructed the plane to land on his airstrip in Saramacca. The police reportedly arrested 5 workers in Oedit’s rice fields. “When I was in Suriname none of the officials came by but now that I am in the Netherlands I am wanted for questioning by the police. Why?” Oedit told Times of Suriname that the police went by his house on Wednesday and that they questioned his wife. “My wife told me that the police searched the house and that they also went to my office. My wife has also told the police officers who were at my house that I am in the Netherlands due to medical reasons.”
