The police recently arrested yet another suspect in connection to the deadly pirate attacks that took place at sea on April 27. Police Chief Guno Roosenhoff told that the suspect is a perpetrato­r. The suspect was reportedly arrested in the vicinity of Highway.

The police had recently announced that 3 people who had instructed the pirates to carry out the attacks have also been arrested. Two of the suspects who had ordered the attacks were arrested in Suriname while the third suspect was arrested in neighborin­g Guyana. One of the suspects who were arrested in Suriname is the son of an entreprene­ur who has gunned down at his home in Munder. 3olice officials indicated that three suspects are still at large. in total in this case which is still being investigat­ed. There are officially only 8 survivors. 12 fishermen are still missing. Only 4 bodies have been recovered so far. 3 bodies were recovered in Surinamese waters while the fourth one washed up on a beach in Guyana. ,nvestigato­rs believe that the deadly pirate attacks were carried out in retaliatio­n for the killing of the entreprene­ur. 3irates burned Guyanese fishermen with hot oil, attacked them with machetes and forced them overboard tied to anchors in a fatal attack in the $tlantic Ocean off Suriname, according to survivors. Using a special clause in Guyanese law allowing prosecutor­s to indict someone for a piracy attack in another country, local police have charged a fisherman with murder committed in the neighborin­g &aribbean &ommunity nation of Suriname late last month that killed 15 of 20 crewmen.

Guyanese police allege that Nakool Manohar called “Fyah,” 3 , is the mastermind of the $pril 27 deadly attacks on 5 fishing boats off the Surinamese coast as revenge for the murder of one of his brothers in Suriname. Manohar has already made his first court appearance and will return for a second hearing on -une 13. +e was slapped with one count of murder but was already on remand for two alleged high seas piracy attacks near Suriname in 2015 and 2016. +e was not reTuired to enter a plea.
