Prade, Roosenhoff and Nasrullah
The Police Force Suriname (KPS) on Monday got acquainted with the three newest members of the senior management team.
Chief Inspector Roberto Prade and the police chiefs Guno Roosenhoff and Alimoenadi Nasrullah have been promoted to a position in the senior management team. Prade is officially the acting police commissioner and Roosenhoff the substitute police commissioner. Nasrullah was promoted to director of policy preparation and operational management at the KPS. A new management team that consists of regional commanders and heads of special departments was also put together.
Sources told Times of Suriname that Justice and Police Minister Stuart Getrouw introduced the new high ranking officials to the new management team and the Surinamese Police Association. He asked them to support the high ranking officials. On Monday former acting police commissioner Antonio Chin handed over the res- ponsibilities of running the police force to Prade. The minister reportedly thanked Chin for the work that he has done. Prade will reportedly be promoted to police commissioner this week. Sources also told Times of Suriname that the minister will present the new officials to the nation at a press conference that is scheduled to take place this week. Chin and police chiefs Darny Stolk and Ruben Peiter were reportedly removed from office last week.
