Drug abuse rapidly rising among Latour youths

-

Parents from Latour recently expressed grave concern regarding the fact that their children are using drugs. Reports indicate that drug abuse is rapidly rising among the youths from Latour. The Latour youths reportedly use sukru, XTC, marihuana and hash. Wilgo Koster, coordinator at the center of the Latour Community Work Foundation (Stibula), pointed out that drug abuse has increased among the youths of Latour and the surrounding areas since last year. He explained that children can easily get their hands on drugs which is why parents do not know how to tackle the issue. Stibula has been asked to help find a solution. “Drug abuse among the young generation is not a new phenomenon and takes places in nearly every country. But when we see that eihgt-year-old and tenyear-old children use sukru, we must sound the alarm. Children can easily be influenced if they want to become part of a certain group. They participate with all the activities in order to be tough”, said Koster. Stibula and the Latour Police Department are reportedly working together and have decided to inform the students at the primary school of the dangers of sukru which is also known as crystal meth. Starting June 29 students will receive information for an entire week. They will also be told how to detect the symptoms if fellow students use this particular party drug. Koster deems it important to get rid of sukru nationwide because it destroys the future of the nation’s youths. The police recently warned that sukru is also being sold in a liquid form.
