The Association of Hinterland Lumber 3roducers BH3 on Thursday issued a warning to people and institutes who think that they can torpedo the palm oil project of China =hong Heng Tai C=HT in the 0arowijne District. The project has been delayed for the past years due to dis cord and bureaucracy. “The BH3 will no longer tolerate this,” said BH3 Chairman 3aul Abiteng who added that progress in the 0arowijne District has been delayed due to the attacks on the palm oil project. The chairman made it clear that the people from 0arowijne will protect their district and contribute to pro gress. “:e are not making threats. :e are simply deman ding our rights to this project. This project should have been launched a long time ago. ,t is a very beautiful project,” said Abiteng. ,n the past there were many rumors which gave the palm oil project and the Chinese firm a negative image. “<ou must not sabo tage the project. 0arowijne can become a city. 0arowijne borders on an overseas terri tory of Europe namely French Guyana. 0arowijne has much potential but you literally tor pedo things when you have no interests there.”

The BH3 chairman strongly believes that the BH3 and C=HT can build a new city in 0arowijne after the palm oil plant and 5 , hectares of land have been cultivated. Abiteng pointed out that at least saboteur has already been identified. He did not divulge any details but he did point out, however, that “peo ple are trying to take the boys out of the forest while we are busy structuring things.” “<ou will not succeed.”
