Bank returns funds after theft

USA The world¶s oldest li ving ::,, veteran has had his funds returned after his cousin said his bank account was compromise­d. 9olma 2verton, the cousin of 2 year old Richard 2verton, said Bank of America returned the funds and fully restored Richard¶s bank account. According to 9olma, the bank and the Austin 3olice Department are both investigat­ing. 9olma said Bank of America notified him around p.m. via phone that the funds were returned. 9olma reported that he noticed on -une 2 that there were four debits from Richard¶s bank ac count. 9olma said he thought a company that buys savings bonds was behind it. He did not report how much was in the account, or how much was taken, but 9olma said it was a very large amount.

Someone obtained the perso nal informatio­n of a 2 year old Texas resident and used it to drain his bank account.

The family of Richard 2verton says Social Security and banking account numbers for the 2 year old Austin man were used to make seven withdrawal­s over the past se veral months.
