NDP addresses internal differences

-

The National Democratic Party NDP) is currently busy addressing all of its internal problems which threaten the unity. There are differences between party members at various fronts and in several districts. The deputy chairman of the purple party, Andere Misiekaba, pointed out that “it is just a matter of time before everybody will be on the same page.” A reborn and reunited NDP will be presented to the nation soon. During the internal elections of Suriname’s biggest political party, the internal differences surfaced and became visible to the nation. Misiekaba pointed out that “this is not the first time that the party has been confronted with this.” The NDP is a big party and sometimes there will be differences between the various sections. Misiekaba pointed out that the reborn party could be presented around February 25 at the earliest. “My party will choose the right moment for the presentation. That means that all issues must be resolved and most of them already have been. There is no other alternative when one is 15 months away from the general elections. We are still dealing with a few things but the fact remains that we have some time to address the issues,” said Misiekaba who is also the leader of the NDP faction which has 26 seats in parliament. “The party is big so one does not always have a grip on everything,” said Misiekaba who added that the party has enough experience to solve such matters.
