Man found dead

Robbers reportedly killed a man on Friday morning. The man was found dead in a house located along the Ephraimzeg­enweg. Reports indicate that the intruders/ robbers gained entered the house by prying open the backdoor. The perpetrato­rs made off with a hunting rifle, two songbirds and a mobile phone. The victim who worked as a laborer and driver had rented a room in the house. The victim’s body was taken to the Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. The victim reportedly had a head injury but investigat­ors still do not know if he had been shot or if he had been hit on the head. When the police arrived on the scene after 4 a.m. a crowd was standing outside the house. One of the people told the police that the victim was inside with gunshot wounds. The police officers then went into the house but the victim was already dead. When paramedics arrived on the scene, they also concluded that the victim was dead. A woman who lives in the same house told the police that she was sleeping in the living room when she suddenly heard strange noises. Suddenly a man stood in front of her. She got up, opened the front door and ran away to find help. When she was outside, she heard the victim begging to be spared. After that she heard a shot. A bullet casing was found outside the house. It is not clear yet how many robbers were involved. The perpetrato­rs are still at large.
