People taken from home quarantine

-

During the past couple of days people who were in home quarantine were picked up by a bus and taken to state quarantine. “It is true,” said Jerry Slijngard, coordinator of the National COVID-19 Management Team, who explained that the people who were picked up had broken the rules of home quarantine and were therefore put in state quarantine so that officials could keep a close eye on them. Several people who were picked up evidently were not happy about being placed in state quarantine and claimed that it happened because they were not willing to pay the security bill. “That could indeed be one of the reasons because all of the people who were in home quarantine have signed a contract which stated that they were willing to pay the security costs. But if they do not pay, the security firm pulls back, thereby leaving them without security guards. One of the agreements was that they would be guarded and if that is not the case, that means that they do not comply with the rules and must therefore be put in state quarantine,” said Slijngard who explained that each person was picked up because of a specific reason. “Some people refused to obey the rules and we found out that they left their homes and therefore put their lives and those of others at risk.” The COVID-19 website states that there are still 84 people in home quarantine. “As long as they stick to the rules, they can remain in home quarantine. But as soon as it becomes clear that they have violated the rules, they will also be picked up.”
