“Main Polling Station Sipaliwini is in good hands”

DC Kali:

“The Main Polling Station Sipaliwini is in good hands,” said District Commissioner Adjaikumar Kali in response to the reports that all the members of this polling station were put in quarantine after DC Humphrey Jeroe and DC Yvonne Pinas had tested positive for COVID-19. Kali who is the DC of Commewijne has been tasked with running the new main polling station of the Sipaliwini District. He explained that the Ministry of Home Affairs asked him to fill in at this main polling station. The president has also appointed Naltus Naana, Audrey Hankers, Sarwankoemar Ramai and Edith Tilon as members of the Main Polling Station Sipaliwini.

DC Kali explained that all of the official reports of the main polling station will be reviewed to check if everything is in order. He also pointed out that all of the ballot boxes of the Sipaliwini District have been moved to the Saramacca DC’s Office.
