Body discovered

The lifeless body of a man washed ashore at the Nene Sluice located along the Anton Dragtenweg. It is not clear yet how the man died. A person who was standing at the jetty spotted the body in the distance and notified the police. The police could not pull the body out of the water so they tied it to the police boat before pulling it to the Platte Brug. It is believed that the body had been in the water for a day because it was not in an advanced stage of decomposition. The identity of the dead man is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
