“BOG is up-and-running”

-

The director of the Public Health Bureau (BOG) was reportedly put in quarantine after an employee had tested positive for COVID-19. “I find it regrettable that a rumor which claims that the BOG is closed is being spread on social media. All our departments are up-andrunning and we are here to keep on serving the community in these difficult times”, BOG Director Minouche Bromet told Times of Suriname. She made it clear that the person who tested positive for COVID-19 is not her secretary as is being claimed in the rumor. “We never thought about closing the BOG. The work must continue. 178, our laboratory and everything else at the BOG remains operational”, said Director Bromet. “The people should know that the people at the BOG, the police, the army, nurses, doctors and media workers are working on the frontline and that they are sparing no efforts in stopping the spread of COVID-19.”
