Official reports on Thursday afternoon indicated that 72 people no longer have COVID19. Unfortunat­ely the official reports also indicate that another person has died which means that COVID19

has claimed 7 lives in Suriname. More people tested positive for the novel coronaviru­s on Thursday. There are currently 261 confirmed COVID19 cases in Suriname. 182 of these are active cases. 361 people are reportedly in mandatory quarantine.

The director of the Public Health Bureau (BOG), Minouche Bromet, who also went in quarantine after an employee from the BOG tested positive for COVID19 about two weeks ago was allowed to return home after she passed her exit screening.
