Boat crew saves man who jumped in the Suriname River

SF who got off his moped and jumped off the Wijdenbosc­h Bridge and into the Suriname River on Monday night was saved by the crew of a Brazilian schooner. Around 20:30 bystanders notified the police that a man who was riding a red moped had jumped off the bridge. They bystanders tried to stop the jumped but failed in their attempt. One of the bystanders stated that the man was dressed in a gray tshirt. The police officers who arrived on the bridge called a tow truck to take the moped away. After a while a man who claimed to be a relative of the owner of the moped went to the police. SF reportedly had relationsh­ip troubles and therefore decided to jump into the river. The boat crew handed SF over to the police. The police then handed him over to his relatives.
