-

Sunita Ramautarsing and her daughter, Jane Ramautarsing, died in a traffic accident that took place on the Afobakaweg on Saturday. Four people sustained injuries and were put in ambulances before being taken to the hospital. The police received a call about the traffic accident at Mast 14 around 5 p.m. Sunita Ramautarsing who was behind the wheel came from the new highway while Farel J came from the opposite direction.

The driver who caused the accident overtook Farel J when Ramautarsing was close to them. Ramautarsing

most likely turned her steering wheel left to avoid a head-on collision before turning it right again.

Her car hit Farel J’s car on his side of the road. Ramautarsing and her daughter, Jane, died at the scene of the accident. One of the four victims who were rushed to the hospital is in critical condition. There were two other people in Ramautarsing’s car. Farel J also had one passenger in his vehicle. Both drivers have a valid driver’s license. The driver who caused the accident fled the scene.
