Two criminals rob female driver

Two men on Saturday followed an unsuspecting female driver in a white car before robbing her on the Verlengde Hoogestraat. They made off with a bag which contained € 650, personal items and a mobile phone. The victim told the police that she did not get a look at the license plate numbers of the getaway vehicle. The robbers had tried to cut the woman off at the Waterkant near the Central Bank of Suriname. The woman managed to foil their attempt by driving to the Saramaccastraat and the Verlengde Hoogestraat. The robbers successfully tried to cut the woman off for a second time when she was driving on the Verlengde Hoogestraat.

They then robbed her at gunpoint. After the robbers had robbed the woman they got back into their car and fled the scene. The victim did not sustain any injuries. The perpetrators remain at large.
