Still no aid for people with an impairment

People with an impairment on Tuesday indicated that they still had not received their social aid for July. Peter Kalka pointed out that he was looking forward to receiving his welfare so that he could cover some of his bills and buy some food. Stichting Wan Okasi on Friday sent a letter to the minister of Social Affairs and Housing (Sozavo) to request that the financial needs of people with an impairment be addressed. The foundation pointed out that people with an impairment were supposed to receive financial aid of SRD 675 for 6 months but that they only got it for 1 month. They usually receive their welfare and the COVID-19 aid on the 20th of the month but that they still had not received any money on July 28.
