NPS main board will not abandon Rusland

-

The main board at the National Party Suriname (NPS) will keep supporting the chairman, Gregory Rusland. It condemned the fact that false information about Rusland has been presented. The main board on Saturday held a meeting to address the issue.

The political party issued a press release to indicate that it has reviewed the letter dated October 27, 220 from the three board members Orpheu

Marengo, Ruth RenfurmCoutinho and Silenta Neslo. Neslo was at the meeting while Renfurm and Marengo did not show up. Neslo and all of the other board members were given the opportunity to give their opinion about the letter. The members expressed their discontent with the fact that they were never given the opportunity to share their thoughts on the contents of the letter. They made it clear that the things that have happened are the result of the actions of only three people. The general conclusion is that the unfounded and wrong information that has gone public unjustly dragged the reputation of the chairman through the mud. As a result of this the reputation of the NPS has also been dragged through the mud unjustly. Neslo left the meeting early. The three members who wrote the letter are continuing their campaign which means that the NPS will keep facing the negative consequences. At the end of the meeting it was announced that the three members in question have lost their credibility within the party. The main board made it clear that is has complete confidence in the management team of the party and chairman Rusland and the other members of the party.”
