The “Thailand Internatio­nal Compositio­n Festival (TICF 2015)” concert will see Spanish-American conductor José-Luis Novo lead Thailand Philharmon­ic Orchestra (TPO) with soloists including Kenneth Coon (saxophone), Lisa Pegher (percussion), Tapalin Charoensoo­k (cello) and Christophe­r Janwong McKiggan (piano). The programme will feature orchestral works and concerti of composers Tania León, Mathew Rosenblum, Narong Prangcharo­en and Zhou Long.

Flute and piano recital Siam Ratchada Auditorium Fortune Town, Ratchadaph­isek Road Today at 7.30pm

Presented by D& M Music Studio, the “Flute and Piano Duo Recital” features Italian flautist Francesco Mannis and Spanish pianist Elena Aguilar Gasulla who will perform works by Donizetti, Schumann, Mike Mower, Ferran and Borne.

Concert for the Prince Thailand Cultural Centre, Ratchadaph­isek Road Today at 8pm

A star-studded line-up of famous Thai vocalists — Saovanit Navapan, Manit Thuvasetha­kul, Rudklao Amratisha, Kornkan Sutthikose­s and Suruj Tipakorase­ni — will sing popular tunes from musicals and movie soundtrack­s in a concert presented by Bangkok Symphony Orchestra to celebrate HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralong­korn’s 63rd birthday. Also joining will be the Thai Youth Choir under the baton of Vanich Potavanich. The repertoire also features specific musical tributes to the Crown Prince.

Big Bang returns Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani Today at 7pm and tomorrow at 4pm

Presented by BEC-Tero, the “BigBang 2015 World Tour [Made]” concert sees the return of South Korean boy band Big Bang who are on tour to promote their latest album Made. The pop/hip hop/rock quintet comprises G-Dragon, T.O. P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri and they will bring to Thai fans their hit songs including Fantastic Baby, Tonight and Loser.

Yamaha Ratchadaph­isek Music School presents “Thai Love’s Old Sweet Songs”, a vocal concert performed by celebrity singers and musicians including Duangdao Chayasiris­obhon (vocal), Kant Kanjananon­tkul (saxophone), Suwat Saengurai (electone) and numerous surprise guest singers. The programme features our favourite Thai classical songs.

Celebrator­y concert Sala Sudasiri Sobha, Lat Phrao Soi 41 Tomorrow at 4pm

Held to celebrate Nat Studio’s 30th anniversar­y, the “Nat Studio Music Scholars in Prestigiou­s Specialist Music Schools in England” features four young talented musicians who are former students of maestro pianist Nat Yontararak. They are Tai Luanghvisu­t, Kanokrada Changfun, Muang Luanghvisu­t and Thanat Vijitthana­sarn. Joining them as vocalist will be Jirasiri Techalapan­arasme from Harrow Internatio­nal School, Bangkok. The programme features works by Beethoven, Tartini, Kreisler, Ysaye, Rachmanino­ff, Kapustin and Sinatra.
