Kirk bio has perfect narrator: Shatner

Who better to read from a book titled The Autobiography of James T Kirk than the man who embodied the fearless Star Trek captain, William Shatner.

Shatner, who played the iconic Kirk in the original TV series and several Trek movies, read selections from the book, written by David Goodman and set for fall release, to a Comic-Con audience on Thursday.

Shatner, 84, who spoke before the panel, says he is “flabbergasted” that Star Trek remains so popular five decades after its premiere. He added that he is hoping to put a show together for next year’s 50th anniversary.
