Classical concert for friendship

D&M Music Studio and Yamaha Ratchadaph­isek Music School will present “A Friendship Concert with Ashley Williams” performed by TSSO Chamber Orchestra at Siam Ratchada Auditorium on Oct 2 at 7.30pm.

The orchestra is comprised of 30 profession­al and amateur musicians from various Christian churches in Bangkok who have wowed audiences everywhere in the Christian community.

Under the baton of Dr Ashley William, director and conductor of the Indian National Symphony Orchestra, the group has performed charity concerts in Bangalore, India; Ipoh, Malaysia; Singapore; and Bangkok.

They have also performed with Columbia Union Symphony Orchestra from the US. In one of their charity concerts, they were joined by renowned singer Lena Maria Klingvall from Sweden and opera singers from the UK.

The repertoire for the upcoming concert will feature Vivaldi’s Sinfornia For Strings In G Major, RV 146 and Flute Concerto In C Major, RV 443; Mozart’s Divertimen­to In D Major K 136; vocal music sung by baritone Mongkol Chayasiris­obhon as well as Thai traditiona­l music.

Tickets cost 600 baht (300 baht for students) and are available at the door. Siam Ratchada Auditorium is on the ground floor of Fortune Town Bldg, Ratchadaph­isek Road. For advance booking and more informatio­n, call 081-682-8000.
