Classical concert Benjasiri Park, Sukhumvit Road Today at 4.30pm The acclaimed Thai fusion band Boy Thai will celebrate their 20th anniversar­y with a free concert to mark His Majesty the King’s Birthday. Joining them will be Aun J Classic Orchestra from Japan featuring three worldclass musicians, showcasing a mix of classics, semi-classics and modern music using traditiona­l Japanese instrument­s including taiko drums, shamisen and flute. They will also give a show-cum-workshop at TK Park, CentralWor­ld, on Dec 6 at 3pm.

Drumming for King Parc Paragon, Siam Paragon, Rama I Road Today at 6pm A one-of-a-kind drumming event, the “Kuek Kong Duai Pakdee” features 89 drummers from across the country who will be beating their drums in honour of HM the King’s 88th birthday. The highlight will be a performanc­e at 7pm where all of them will perform together to three songs — HM the King’s Kwam Fan An Soong Sud (The Impossible Dream), Sadudee Maharacha (Hymn to the Great King) and Sansoen Phra Barami (Royal Anthem). Limited edition T-shirts, brooches and souvenirs will be available with proceeds going to Phra Dabos Southern Border Province School and the Phra Dabos Foundation.

Int’l dance fest Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Pathumwan intersecti­on Today at 2.30pm and tomorrow at 2.30pm The “Internatio­nal Dance Festival 2015” presents the last two performanc­es. Today will see Nothing Else Matters... But Dance, an experiment­al dance performed by the Company of Performing Artists Thailand with choreograp­hy by May Yimsai. Concluding the festival tomorrow is Physical Poetry # Meeting, a contempora­ry performanc­e with elements of dance and poetry by Ulrich Gottlieb from Germany and Mira Kra Tochwil from Austria.
