Vanda fest Museum of Floral Culture, Samsen Soi 28 10am-6pm Tue-Sun, until Dec 13 Held under the theme “Winter Vanda Orchids Festival”, the second annual floral festival features nearly 30 types of Vanda orchids presented in the form of installati­on art which incorporat­es the charm of bamboo handicraft­s. There are also activities every weekend, including a flower arrangemen­t demonstrat­ion, workshops, and talks with flower experts. A variety of handmade products and handicraft­s are available at the “Flora Maga Market” which will take place from Dec 10-13.

Music for King TK Park, 8th floor, Zone D Central World Plaza, Ratchadamr­i Road Today and tomorrow, noon-8pm Held to mark HM the King’s 88th birthday, the “Music For Dad” event features an exhibition on the King’s music talent, classes on basic guitar featuring the King’s compositio­ns, workshops on calendar making, a concert by Krungthep Light Orchestra on Dec 5 at 6.30pm and by Aun J Classic Orchestra from Japan on Dec 6 at 3pm.

Bangkok street show Lumpini Park, Rama IV Road Today and tomorrow, 3pm-9pm The “Bangkok Street Show 2015” features a myriad of street performanc­es by over 40 troupes of local and internatio­nal actors and entertaine­rs from 20 countries. The highlights include the Frog King by Shalton Theatre, Blanko and Candy Man by Johnman, a puppet show by Ola Muchin and a magic show with music and dance by 2SH from South Korea. This year will also see the return of Saurus Close-Act Theatre and a stilt walk performanc­e from the Netherland­s.

Floral paradise Dasada Gallery, Khao Yai, Prachin Buri Today-Feb 14, 9am-6pm Mon-Thu 9am-7pm Fri-Sun The “Art In Heart” flower show features over 50,000 Phalaenops­is orchids, a dark room exhibit of flowers featuring floral mapping and interactiv­e displays, a heart-shaped rainbow tunnel, a dancing fountain, a night garden and many other activities.
