Kudos to Thammasat

The demonstrated civic responsibility of the students, graduates and faculty of Thammasat University during these difficult times is outstanding and has shown Thammasat to be the leading university in Thailand (Thai-Pulse, Dec 10).

This civic consciousness on the part of those associated with the university, especially when others in the community, many of whom are products of “special” English educational opportunities and are hiding behind the vaguest of phrases about social rights, would make the school’s founder, Pridi Banomyong, proud were he alive today.
