Bliss Foundation is holding the second “Bliss Festival” at Sampran Riverside Hotel in Nakhon Pathom province on Dec 18-20 from 9am to 5pm.

Held in collaboration with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation and Thailand Research Fund, the three-day outdoor event will gather many groups of organic farmers from the Sampran Model and all parties involved in driving the project over the past six years.

Managed by the Bliss Foundation, the project aims to find new direct market channels as incentives for farmers in Sam Phran district of Nakhon Pathom to convert from conventional to organic farming techniques. At present, 108 farmers in nine groups have participated in the project and over 30 are certified organic farmers.

The festival will feature fresh organic produce and products direct from farmers and provide an opportunity to learn more about organic farming in the workshops. Farmers who are interested in organic farming will get an insight from fellow farmers in the project and get advice from the Sampran Model team.

Government agencies, interested universities and private enterprises can come for ideas from this model of public private partnership (PPP) and community engagement or find new business partners.

The world’s pioneering “Farm To Function” concept will also be unveiled to show how it can link small organic farmers in the project with entrepreneurs in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) industry.

There will also be fun games with prizes, entertainment and educational talks throughout the festival. Visitors who register will also have a chance to win a Vespa scooter.
