Another splendid Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel
HRH Princess Soamsawali presided at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony organised by Anantara Siam Hotel Bangkok to celebrate the 88th birthday of HM King Bhumibol, to thank our loyal clients and friends and to welcome the festive season, following the traditional celebration that the hotel has been organising for the past 31 years.
This year also marks the 9th year that the Christmas Tree Charity Project is organised by the hotel with our media partners, L’Officiel and L’Optimum magazines and various sponsors along with a handful of celebrity artists who designed the sponsors’ trees.
The best decorated Christmas Tree by popular votes went to the tree of Sonite Innovative Surfaces Co., Ltd. designed by Khun Noppadol (Ou) Bhaholyothin which had a concept of ‘Glisten’ - snowflakes glistening in the winter sunlight, a Christmas tree made by hand and with love. Sonite Innovative Surfaces Co., Ltd. and Khun Noppadol both went home with a trophy presented by HRH Princess Soamsawali.
The Christmas trees are displayed around Parichart Court, the open-air courtyard at the hotel until January 7, 2016. Proceeds from the funds raised from the sponsors’ donations will go toward the ‘Friends in Need (of Pa) Foundation’ patronised by HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross Society.
The Christmas Tree Charity Project showcases the creativity of a number of Thailand’s renowned and leading interior and fashion designers, architects, celebrities and lifestyle artists in decorating the Christmas trees commissioned by select luxury partners. Some of the celebrity artists who have volunteered their time and effort in the name of charity and paired with the charitable corporate sponsors are: Polpat Asavaprapha with Citibank N.A., Elizabeth Romhild with Divana, Dr. Singh Intrachooto with DRati Creative Passion, Vasu Virajsilp with Italasia and Noppadol Ou Bhaholyothin with Sonite Innovative Surfaces Co., Ltd., Other corporate sponsors with trees designed by their in-house artists are: Grand Work (Thailand) Co., Ltd., HSBC and Kanokkun Co., Ltd.
