NAKLUA FISH MARKET

This heaven for seafood lovers is situated near the end of Naklua Road. Inside the seaside market are endless shops and vendors selling fresh seafood along with delicious ready-cooked meals and treats. Most of the seafood vendors offer grilling services with tangy seafood dipping sauces. Head there in late afternoon to buy your favourite dishes before taking them to the seaside public park to enjoy with a sea view. Naklua Road.

MUM AROI

This longstandi­ng seafood restaurant is always a top choice for Bangkokian­s who love to come here to enjoy a meal and the sea. Set on the beachfront at the end of Naklua Road, Mum Aroi kitchen is famous for its deepfried seabass with sh sauce and stir-fried squid with salted egg. PREECHA

Though this restaurant is a bit far from Pattaya City, its fresh seafood and open space make it well worth the drive. Located right by the sea at Ban Amphoe, the restaurant is at the famous sherman’s village a 15-minute drive from southern Pattaya. There is nothing special about the vibe: the structure is like a factory with no walls. But the food makes it outstandin­g, notably fermented blue crab, stir-fried soft-shell crab with black pepper, spicy sour soup with sea cat sh eggs, steamed mantis shrimps and abalone. The best time to go is in the evening when you can eat and watch the sunset at the same time. Na Jomtien. 0-3870-9439.

JEJUK SEAFOOD

Jejuk Seafood is also always packed but mainly with locals who ock to it for its tasty fresh seafood. The main branch isn’t by the sea but has won people’s hearts as one of the best seafood restaurant­s in the bay. It started out as a small stall on Pattaya Nua Road and has now added three more branches at Soi Cholchan Hotel in Naklua, Krating Lai Junction, Pattaya Soi 2 and out of the city at Bang Saray Beach in Sattahip. The Naklua branch is on the beachfront.
