Concierge provider ties up venture
The Black Tie Service Co, a Thai concierge and lifestyle service provider, has sealed a partnership with Consortio Services, a big concierge operator in Singapore, to provide their services together in the regional market.
The two parties signed a memorandum of understanding and a new joint venture will be established soon, said Kanokporn Na Ranong, founder and chief executive of The Black Tie Service.
The Black Tie Service has its strength in Thailand and other Asean countries while Consortio has a solid connection with leading banks in Singapore, with most banks offering global networks.
“Our synergies and strengths will make us a strong regional concierge service provider,” she said.
The Black Tie Service expects to learn know-how from Consortio, while the two can develop new service innovations together in the future, Ms Kanokporn said. They are both keen to enter the Chinese concierge and lifestyle service market because of its huge potential and few providers.
The company was founded three years ago, with Ms Kanokporn and her friends as the major shareholders. It manages customer relation management service for clients.
Among the services it provides is organising exclusive company functions and privileges for top-tier clients, work which is detail-oriented and requires expertise in extensive inventory management.
The Black Tie Service is trusted by many Thai organisations including private banking services, car companies, airlines, TV channels as well as international firms and celebrities, said Ms Kanokporn.
She said the concierge and lifestyle service business is a blue ocean, untapped and full of vast opportunities. The global market was valued at US$271 million and grew 2.6% last year.
The company will launch its mobile concierge service application, BT Concierge, this month to cater to executives wanting to reach customers quickly and conveniently.
Apart from Bangkok, the company is looking for more opportunities to provider concierge services to businesses in Pattaya, Hua Hin and Chiang Mai.
