Make-up trends are getting brighter and whackier as NYX’s motto, “Normal is Just Too Boring”, is unequivocally applied to their Fall/Winter 2016 collection with metallic lipsticks, neon eyeliner and shimmering primers as the biggest standouts from this American beauty brand.
The key make-up style is their NYX Beauty School Dropout look, which emphasises the classic nude and smokey eye with their aponymously named pallette, now in two mini 101 versions. The Killer Nude look accentuates earthy and brown lip colours whereas Grunge Glam brings out the rebelliousness with their Suede Liquid Lipsticks, coming in mad shades of blue and purple. Though the two lip looks may be vastly different, what remains hot for both styles is the striking matt finish.
This season has added a whopping 250 new items for fellow “NYXTERS” and make-up gurus to get their hands on with exciting sub-collections that will definitely lead the way for this fall and winter’s make-up trends.
Nude never dies as NYX presents 12 new shades of nude lippies in their highly sought after Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks. The weightless hormula boasts a more brownish, neutral colour compared to their former collection which leant on the pink spectrum.
The make-up brand is also trying to bring back the 90s in full swing with a dozen of crazy metallic lipstick shades ranging from grey to bright pink, Electro Liners and four eyeshadow palettes which includes a harmony of vibrant neon colours.
The next big trend is glitters — tonnes and tonnes of glitter — with 24 new shades of Pigments and 12 new shades of NYX Face and Body Glitter Brilliants, keeping the sparkle all in place with their new Glitter Primer.
