The highlights include the 600-year-old forest tea from China and the highqualit­y coffee from Kenya that gives a blackcurra­nt-like aroma. There will be a coffee mixing show by 10 popular baristas. FARMERS’ MARKET (The Promenade, Ram Intra Road, 11am8pm, until Oct 9) The “Farmers’ Market” features special prices on a wide variety of freshly-picked and organic produce from certified farms from across the country. Items include fruits, vegetables, herbs, homemade sweets and snacks, and natural craft soap and cosmetics. There are also DIY workshops and a live performanc­e of country music on every weekend. PET PLANET (Seacon Bangkae, Phetkasem Road, 11am-8pm, until Oct 9) The “Pet Planet: Giant & Tiny” fair features 40 species of exotic, rare and adorable animals of contrastin­g sizes. The highlight is the “Giant & Tiny” zone where creatures of the same species but far different in sizes are paired up. They include Dong Tao chicken and Serama chicken, red fox and Fennec fox, Flemish giant rabbit and Netherland dward rabbit, capybara and hairless guinea pig, and Albino African hedgehog and pygmy hedgehog. CRAFT AND CULTURAL INSIGHT (Siam Paragon, Rama I Road, every Friday-Sunday, noon-7pm, until Nov 25) Local and foreign are invited to join many art and craft workshops held as part of the “Siam Golden Land of Smile” event. They will learn to weave miniature wickerwork, make crocheted flower garlands, carve shadow puppet leathers, make khon masks, paint batik cloth and paint sa paper umbrella.
