FAIR WARNING

-

Ahh, so Bangkok is going to get new NVG buses … made in China. I hope the signs and warnings on the buses will be in Thai and English, not solely in Chinese.

I flew between Vientiane and Luang Prabang a few years ago in an old Russian-built aircraft. The sign over the emergency exit, (I took lots of pictures of it), was in Russian, with a tiny English translation below. “In the event of emergency, kick out the door and throw the rope ladder down to the ground. Then climb down.” I wonder if the Chinese buses will have a similar safety warning in the event the buses hit flooded streets, advising passengers to “throw out the rubber dingy located in the overhead luggage rack, inflate it and climb into it carefully. Then paddle toward high ground.” Jingle Bell
