THE CLOSEST SHAVE

-

Waxing off patches or tweezing stray hair can disturb sensitive skin, requiring a gentler approach to hair removal. A new beauty tool, however, features razor-blade technology designed to prevent all contact with the skin.

The Veet Sensitive Touch electric trimmer is an extension of Reckitt Benckiser’s depilatory product line, which previously included cream and wax strips. Precise trimming with the new product can remove unwanted hair on the face, eyebrows, underarms, bikini line and other sensitive parts of the body.

Held at Mother May I Kitchen on Sukhumvit 59, the launch of the electric trimmer presented its ability to transform rebellious brows into three different styles, demonstrated by make-up artist Vinij Boonchaisri.

“Facial hair can be an obstacle in doing make-up. Hair removal by tweezing can consume time, while conventional razors can cut and wrinkle the skin,” he said. “The electric trimmer just makes it simpler and safer to remove hair.”

Eyebrows are like the crown jewels of the face, he added, and they need to be neatly groomed with the Korean straight brows, a popular style that makes people look younger.

Men can also quickly use the electric trimmer for taming bushy brows and fashioning their moustaches and make it a part of their grooming routine, like shaving.

The electric tool comes with 6mm and 16mm twosided trimming heads and attachable 2mm and 4mm combs, as well as another 20mm trimming head for the bikini line.

The product launch was set to welcome Thailand’s summer, when women want to wear their bikini with confidence.
