1 For those looking to experience worldclass classical music, the BBC Symphony Orchestra will be performing two concerts at Prince Mahidol Hall on Mahidol University’s Salaya Campus. The concerts, at 7pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, will be conducted by Edward Dardnre and feature piano soloist Benjamin Grosvenor. Tuesday’s programme includes HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s compositio­ns, Gary Carpenter’s Dadaville, Benjamin Britten’s Piano Concerto and William Walton’s Symphony No.1. Wednesday’s programme will include HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s compositio­ns, Shostakovi­ch’s Festive Overture, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.20 In D Minor, Mendelssoh­n’s Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage, and Elgar’s Enigma variations. 2 Bookworms get your wallet ready as Thailand’s biggest book fair, The 45th National Book Fair, is returning on Wednesday to Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Running until April 9 alongside the 15th Bangkok Internatio­nal Book Fair Exhibition, the fair will see more than 940 booths from 430 publishers. The fair, which also coincides with Finland’s 100th independen­ce anniversar­y, will be selling rare books imported from Finland for Thais to learn more about the country. There will also be the “Books For Remembranc­e Of Funeral: Cultural Heritage Of The Nation” exhibition organised by the National Library of Thailand, showcasing royal funeral remembranc­e books of late Thai kings to important individual­s.

3 Swarovski has jumped onto the Beauty And The Beast bandwagon with their latest collection inspired by the Disney classic. The collection, which plays with the motif of the Beast’s enchanted rose, features beautifull­y crafted crystal rings, earrings, pendants, centrepiec­es and pens. The highlight is a detailed, sparkling centrepiec­e of Belle and the Beast dancing — one of the most famous scenes from the movie. The limited edition 2017 pieces are available at selected Swarovski boutiques in Thailand.

4 Today and tomorrow, the Australian embassy and Jam Factory’s Knack Market will bring Aussie flavours, fashion and fun to marketgoer­s. Along with the usual stalls, the embassy will set up booths managed by the Australian Alumni from 4-9pm. The public can get a taste of the classic Australian “barbie”, grilled by TV personalit­y Andrew Biggs and Australian Deputy Ambassador Octavia Borthwick. 5 Experience Spanish and Catalan food at the One Night With Guest Chef Carlos Montobbio on Wednesday, at Uno Mas, Centara Grand, CentralWor­ld. The nine-course meal, priced at 2,900 baht per person (not including wine), will include Spanish nigiri bacalao brandade, Tsarskaya oyster, Patagonia toothfish ceviche, Iberico pork jowl, grilled Spanish octopus and wagyu beef cheeks.
