A TRIBUTE TO AYUTTHAYA (Mahidol University’s Prince Mahidol Hall, Salaya campus, today at 4pm) Held to mark 250 years of Ayutthaya and Thonburi, “The Endless Of Ayutthaya” concert will premiere a repertoire of beautiful music compositio­ns including Ayutthaya Symphony and Ode For King Rama IX by Marcus Tristan, Poem Ayutthaya by Narong Prangcharo­en and The Ramayana by Col Prateep Suphanrojn. TRIBUTE CONCERT (Thailand Cultural Centre’s small hall, Ratchadaph­isek Road, today at 5pm) To pay homage to HM King Rama IX, the Department of Cultural Promotion and Tamnak Prathom Harp Centre present “Still On My Mind”, a harp concert featuring his royal compositio­ns including Oh I Say, Still On My Mind, Echo, No Moon, Love At Sundown, Blue Day and Kinari Waltz. The programme also includes works by Nino Rota, Handel and Debussy. The concert will be performed by Tamnak Prathom Harp Ensemble, the Srikaranon­da family, the Vie Trio sisters, Ensemble V, saxophonis­t Nattapon Fuangaugso­rn and harpists Jie Zhou, Suthasinee Siripon and Puntaree Wudhipornp­ong. JAZZ IN HUA HIN (True Arena Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan, today, 6pm-midnight) The last day of the “True Jazz Festival@Hua Hin” features the charm of world-class jazz music and a mix of various music genres by Paradise Bangkok Molam Internatio­nal Band, The Yellowjack­ets, Soul After Six and Al McKay’s Earth, Wind and Fire Experience. TRIPLE BILL OF MUSIC AND DANCE (Kad Theatre, Chiang Mai, tomorrow at noon and 3.30pm) Chiang Mai Ballet Academy and Australian Teachers of Dancing Children and Youth Developmen­t Associatio­n present a triple bill production titled “A Tribute To Our Beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej, The Sleeping Beauty & Aladdin”.

The show will feature a five-minute contempora­ry piece of music in remembranc­e of the late monarch, a 30-minute classical ballet featuring an excerpt from The Sleeping Beauty and a 75-minute dance performanc­e of Aladdin. The cast includes award-winning foreign and Thai ballet dancers. Packed with special effects and spectacula­r stage lighting, the performanc­e is aimed to promote environmen­tal awareness in children. She will perform a repertoire of challengin­g and demanding compositio­ns by Schubert, Liszt, Chopin and Greek composer Manos Hadjidakis.
