SEMINARS
MONDAY: The Fisheries Department will host an international meeting on the development of the Asean common fisheries policy as preparation for members to draft the Asean Common Fisheries Policy. The twoday seminar will be held at Windsor Suites & Convention, Sukhumvit Soi 20, Bangkok.
TUESDAY: SME Development Bank, in partnership with King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, will organise a seminar on online business and e-marketing at the bank’s headquarters on Phahon Yothin Road.
TUESDAY: The Electronic Transactions Development Agency will hold a two-day seminar, “SMEs Go Online” to support small and medium-sized enterprises to be smart entrepreneurs and prepare for the Thailand 4.0 business model. The event will be held at Chaeng Wattana Hall, Central Plaza Chaeng Wattana.
TUESDAY: Kiatnakin Bank will hold a KKP Focus Forum to give an overview and thorough assessment on the property sector under Thailand 4.0, at Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel.
TUESDAY: KPMG’s executive briefing on “Staying Competitive: Digital Disruption and the Future of Retail Business” will take place at KPMG Executive Lounge, M Floor, Empire Tower, South Sathon Road, with speakers Anson Bailey, KPMG’s Asia-Pacific head of consumer markets sector, Thanit Osathalert, an audit partner at KPMG in Thailand, Auaychai Sukawong, KPMG’s executive director of tax and legal.
WEDNESDAY: The Economic Reporters Association will organise a seminar on Thailand’s lost opportunites from the disruption of the new Petroleum Act at the 9th floor of Chang Building in Chatuchak District.
MEDIA CONFERENCES
WEDNESDAY: Thailand Post will reveal a 170mm panorama stamp depicting six pictures of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and his works, designed in memory of the 70th anniversary of the late King’s accession to the throne. The event will be held at the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board, Bang Phlat District.
THURSDAY: CAT Telecom Plc will brief the media on IRIS Cloud No.1 Trustable Cloud Provider, a service the agency brought in to support SME startups in Thailand 4.0. CAT is the first to use the IRIS or Intelligent Resilient Information System cloud platform. The media conference will be held at Hubba-To Co Working Space, at Habito Mall Sukhumvit.
THURSDAY: Dell EMC Thailand will brief the media on the company’s business vision and strategic plans in 2017 to advocate digital transformation and Thailand 4.0. At the event, to take place at The Lounge 195 on M Floor of Empire Tower, the company will also reveal survey results about workforce transformation.
THURSDAY: Microsoft will report its latest survey and real banking success cases with TMB Bank. Sean Loiselle, enterprise and partner group director of Microsoft Thailand, and Lorenzo Tassan-Bassut, chief operating officer at TMB will give insight on how to realise business potential by adopting 360-degree digital transformation. The press conference will be held at Microsoft Thailand Office, 38th Floor, CRC Tower, All Seasons Place.
FAIRS
MONDAY: The Department of Industrial Promotion will hold the “Leather Lover 2017” fair to offer design products ranging from shoes, bags and accessories at discounted prices. The fair, held at the exhibition room of the department on Rama VI Road, ends on Friday.
WEDNESDAY: The Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand will hold the 45th National Book Fair & Bangkok International Book Fair 2017 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. New and discounted books are available at the fair, which runs until April 9.
MEETING
TUESDAY: Thai Bankers’ Association, headed by president Preedee Daochai, and executives of 15 banks will hold a meeting to declare a code of conduct for the industry. The event, to be held at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, will be attended by the governor of the Bank of Thailand Veerathai Santiprabhob, and will address the importance of the banking industry’s code of conduct.
