Dogs aren’t to blame

-

Michael Weldon (PostBag, March 30) writes that because four dogs killed an 83-year-old woman in Bangkok, all stray dogs should be slaughtered. He didn’t even say if those dogs were strays.

It’s like in America where if one illegal immigrant commits murder or is accused of rape, bloodthirsty people then want to punish all immigrants.

If Mr Weldon really is concerned about the stray dog problem why doesn’t he condemn the breeders and the pet stores who are the root cause of this problem and urge people to get their dogs spayed and neutered?

In contrast to Mr Weldon’s cruelty, the Bangkok Post’s Brunch Magazine has done a great job in taking a humane approach to this problem and encouraging people to adopt dogs instead of getting them from breeders. ERIC BAHRT
