Pullman Bangkok Hotel G (02-352-4000) April: 25 Degrees Burgers, Wine & Liquor Bar features a 28-day dry-aged US striploin beef burger with bacon, cheddar cheese and green pepper mayonnaise on soft homemade rye bread bun. The burger is served with potato wedges and is priced at 450 baht.

Royal Orchid Sheraton (02-266-9214) April: Rossini’s contempora­ry Italian restaurant introduces a new series of dishes that celebrate Sicilian culinary authentici­ty, chef creativity as well as freshness of produce. Highlights include heirloom baby beetroots with fig and cylinder of goat cheese and truffle honey; burrata with wild arugula, pistachios and Sicilian datterini tomatoes; carnaroli rice risotto with green peas and braised beef cheek; roasted turbot with zucchini, culatello ham and taleggio cheese; lamb loin with cannellini beans and pancetta; Australian Angus beef tongue with Sicilian red prawns scented with Spanish mandarin; and guinea fowl breast with Belgium endive, orange flavour and parsnips.

Culinary offerings include imported fresh seafood (for example, Maine lobster, Alaskan king crab and Pacific Oyster); Japanese sushi and sashimi; Cantonese Peking duck; a la minute Italian dishes; western-styled BBQ and grilled items; wagyu beef burger and hot dog station; Middle Eastern and Greek fare; Indian favourites and Thai classics. Featured menu items are a platter of ark shell, sweet shrimp, sakura sea bream, tuna, kurose yellowtail, Japanese egg cockle and red snapper sashimi; Spanish mackerel with sakura shrimp sauce; asari clams and firefly squid with vinegar and miso; shrimp dumpling with rapeseed, shimeji mushrooms and sakura blossoms; grilled salmon with saikyo miso wrapped with sakura leaves; and pork simmered in sweetened soy sauce with bamboo shoots, carrot, taro, snow peas, and wasabi. The price now comes down to to 2,719 baht net per person. LANG SUAN — PLOENCHIT InterConti­nental Bangkok (02-656-0444) April: Summer Palace Cantonese restaurant recommends its all-time best-selling Peking duck. After the skin is neatly sliced beside the guest

table, the duck meat is cooked in Thai or Hong Kong style. Choose from deep frying with garlic pepper sauce, wok-frying with black pepper sauce and onion and sautéing with ginger and spring onion. Each Peking duck is priced at 1,390 baht.

Muse Bangkok (02-630-4000) April-May: Babette’s the Steakhouse recommends European melted cheese side dishes to go with your prime steak choice. Highlighte­d items are raclette fumee au feu de bois, or wood-fire smoked cheese with Italian charcuteri­e; Camembert bocage cru cheese in a wooden box with salad; Roquefort blue cheese with fried pancetta and walnuts; and burrata cheese with beef tartare and quail egg.
