Runners that positively glow

-

Only one month to go and running enthusiasts will enjoy a new form of night-time entertainment that combines health, colour and high octane fun during the “Skechers Blacklight Run Thailand” on June 17.

Introduced to the Kingdom for the first time by Orange Room, this is the world’s biggest ultraviolet run from the US that will see thousands of local runners dialling up the fun at the brightest 5km on the planet — a non-timed fun run from the Makkasan Airport Rail Link around the close streets of Bangkok and back.

The pre-run party will kick off at 5pm and include the famous Glow Throws and lots of fun. At three unique zones along the course, runners will be showered in vivid UV neon glow powder. It’s certified 100% natural and non-toxic so they are advised to wear the brightest white T-shirt to maximise the effect.

However, the fun doesn’t end there. Once runners have crossed the finish line, the main stage will become the centre of the action and the event’s legendary after-party will kick off at 8pm.

It will be the biggest glow foam party ever seen in Thailand with foam finishing wall and top entertainment, including headliner DJ Kenneth G. The colour throwing will continue at the party with a “Celebration Glow Throw” that will keep everyone glowing throughout the night.

The “Skechers Blacklight Run Thailand” is open to all ages. Standard tickets cost 900 baht including a T-shirt, a drawstring bag and race bib and free entry to the after party (free for children under five years). VIP tickets cost 1,800 baht and come with even more goodies.

Registrations can be made via www. blacklightrun.in.th until May 28.
