RC is a new and legitimate gig with an open mic segment every Wednesday at Live Lounge above Sportsman Bar on Sukhumvit Soi 13. The word “raw” embodies what the show is all about. The comedians are mostly coming from underground acts that started in Bangkok and they have raw talent. They’re seasoned comics that get a chance to work on new jokes or raw material, and this is an R-Rated show! We’re all about being raunchy, uncensored, but most of all, in your face funny!

What does RAW Comedy contribute to the scene?

RC offers comics and audiences a hybrid between a real show and an open mic. The weekly open mic shows at Live Lounge in the past have been informal yet productive so RC will raise the stakes. It will have an open mic vibe that welcomes new talent and new material. For the first half, comics will come sharp and ready to put on a bona fide set for the crowd and the second half will be all open mic. Aside from putting on a solid show every week, RC’s goal is to contribute new comedians and new jokes to the scene

What can audiences expect at a RAW Comedy show?

They can expect to see the Bangkok’s grass-roots comedy scene at work. Comedians will do tightly timed sets, mixing new material into their more polished bits. Audiences can expect an authentic, raw comedy experience, with fresh, original shows every week and they can also expect to hop onstage themselves if they feel funny enough. They can also expect a free drink and finger food with B200 entry.
