Amlo re-issues lease offer on confiscated land, condos

- KINg-OuA LAOhONg

The Anti-Money Laundering Office (Amlo) is struggling to attract people to rent land and condominium units it put up for leasing in several provinces a few months ago.

So far nobody has come forward to take up the offer.

Amlo deputy chief Aimorn Chaibuadaeng said yesterday a total of 115 seized land plots and condominium units are available.

The land is to be rented out for farming and the rooms will be leased out for accommodation, she added.

The leases are available until the cases involving each property have been resolved, she said.

Residential rents are to be paid monthly, while the land rents are to paid annually. The amounts will be calculated according to local rental rates, Pol Lt Col Aimorn said.

Vacant land plots on offer are in Nakhon Phanom (60 plots/ units), Nonthaburi (29), Chiang Rai (8), Phetchaburi (3), Ayutthaya (2), Bangkok (2) and Chiang Mai (1).

A piece of land with buildings in Bangkok’s Bang Rak district is also on the list of properties.

There is also a condominium unit in Bangkok’s Bang Sue district and eight condominium units in Nonthaburi.

Anyone who is interested in leasing can apply before June 19 at the Amlo’s Administrative Office on Phaya Thai Road, Pathumwan district, Bangkok
