UPHELD: By the Appeal Court, money laundering charges and prison sentences for a Dutch man and his Thai wife with marijuana-coffee shop connections. Johannes Petrus Maria van Laarhoven, 57, and Mingkhwan van Laarhoven, 35, were arrested in 2014. They claimed they made money with their Amsterdam shops but authorities found 300 million baht, property, land and cars including five Porches. The husband’s 20-year sentence was confirmed while Mingkhwan got seven years and four months.
