Where the hospitality insiders will be gathering
Good news for hoteliers and food service operators: the Thailand Retail, Food & Hospitality Services expo will return with more exhibitors and products at Bitec Hall 102-104, Bang Na-Trat Road, this Thursday to Sunday, 10.30am-7.30pm.
Organised by Kavin Intertrade, the 11th edition of the expo is the country’s biggest one-stop place for those in the hotel and food-service businesses to browse through new equipment and ingredients in preparation for the coming high season.
More than 500 brands with a full array of equipment and supplies of food and drink from around the world will be offered by almost 150 exhibitors, including manufacturers from Korea, Taiwan and China, who will come with their latest technologies.
Product profiles range from hotel guest rooms (mattresses, bed sheets, linen) to kitchen equipment for chefs and pastry chefs (oven, chilling/freezing equipment, bakery, ingredients and raw materials); dining rooms (table wares, drinks, coffee/gelato machines and ingredients); cleaning equipment and supplies for housekeepers; packaging; and information technology.
Activities will be arranged by some 10 associations. These include a culinary challenge, a wedding-cake competition, live food and bakery demonstrations by well-known chefs, a coffee workshop for baristas and shop owners, and seminars by housekeepers and human-resources personnel.
Two related exhibitions will be held simultaneously under the same roof. Designed for those wishing to start their own businesses, the Thailand Franchise & Business Opportunities event will see almost 200 local and international franchise brands presented by as many as 150 exhibitors from Thailand and 10 other countries, including the US, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.
Hailed as Thailand’s biggest retail show on technology, shop fittings and e-commerce to serve growing retail, Asean Retail will feature 150 brands, ranging from POS software (bar code, ERP, led signage, digital), racks and shelves, interior designs, and online shopping from Thailand and overseas, including Korea, Taiwan, China and Malaysia.
Both exhibitions will offer some 20 informative seminar topics by industry gurus to provide up-to-date knowledge on industry trends.
