Guests under 20 years of age pay 1,000 baht net per person while ages four to 13 years pay 800 baht and a child up to four years old eats free. The buffet, of which the regular price is 2,500 baht per person, boasts an extensive variety of appetisers, cold cuts, salads, soups, fresh imported seafood, dim sum, sushi, Indian curries, Italian pasta and prime meat barbecue.

Le Méridien Bangkok (02 232 8888) October: Latest Recipe features à la minute à la carte buffet concept boasting an extensive buffet line and a selection of freshly prepared à la carte dishes. Pullman Bangkok Hotel G (02-352-4000) October: 25 Degrees Burgers Bar recommends “surf n’ turf burger”. It features fresh crabmeat salad with wasabi mayonnaise, deep-fried shrimps with sweet chilli sauce and a succulent ground beef sirloin patty on soft garlic and tarragon brioche bun with avocado and arugula at 380 baht.

Royal Orchid Sheraton (02-266-9214) October: Feast highlights its newly revamped family-friendly Sunday brunch buffet, featuring live cooking stations as well as a selection of prime seafood such as lobster, Alaskan king crab legs, French oysters, Japanese scallops and king river prawns, and kids zone full of games, toys, shows and surprises. Priced at 1,199 baht per person or 1,699 baht with a fee-flow wine package, the buffet boasts the likes of ocean fresh lobster and Atlantic lobster as well as Australian tomahawk steak and dessert bar. A group of four diners only pays for three.

Among more than 70 dishes are sushi, fresh sashimi, maki, soba, udon, ramen noodles, grilled items, tempura, teppanyaki, makimono roll and desserts. The buffet, inclusive of free-flow green tea, is priced at 699 baht per person for lunch and 799 baht per person for dinner.

Expect to find the likes of steamed mock prawn dumplings, steamed bun with mushroom and black pepper filing, steamed bun with mashed taro and young coconut, and deep-fried crispy fresh noodles with minced vegetables. Prices range from 60 baht-80 baht per dish.

October: Latest Recipe buffet restaurant highlights prime Japanese beef steak including tenderloin, sirloin, rib-eye and T-bone, served charcoal-grilled or teppanyaki styles.
