TRIBUTE MAPPING (The Emporium and The EmQuartier, Sukhumvit Road, daily at 7pm, until

Oct 27) Held in collaborat­ion with Three D Land, “Tribute To The Beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej” is a state-of-the-art 3D digital mapping film that shows the architectu­ral grandeur of the royal crematoriu­m, which was built based on the model of the mythical Mount Meru (Phra Sumen in Thai). Lasting six minutes, the mapping film also features paintings and sculptures created by a group of veteran Thai artists. It is projected on the walls of the two shopping centres, covering 3,500 square metres, 12 rounds a day. There is no admission fee. Call 02-259-8345.

MARIGOLD GARDEN (Ratchadaph­isek 8, opposite The Esplanade, 3pm-9pm, until Oct

31) Interested members of the public are invited to plant marigolds as a tribute to King Bhumibol at the “Sweat Drop Of The King Garden”. Covering 30 rai, the garden project is divided into many parts including a rice field filled with golden rice plants, a sun hemp filed, a clarifier, an exhibition area showcasing many royallyini­tiated projects and the king’s properties, an activity area featuring the flowering and ornamental plant exhibition, and an open area for farmers from the Northeast to sell their plants and agricultur­al products.
