Warehouse 30

-

Charoen Krung Soi 30 It looks like any other warehouse from the exterior — enclosed and kind of secluded. But the age-old adage goes: don’t judge a book by its cover. Once you enter the premises, it is a whole other world. The almost 6,000m² space consisting of seven warehouses that were acquired by architect Duangrit Bunnag last year is just teeming with creativity. He took great care to keep the structure as it is, with the only major changes being a big paint job and floor replacements for four warehouses. Each warehouse has its own purpose which includes the following: opportunities for rental for parties/concerts and weddings; a co-working space to use the office facilities, if you’re a member; a furniture workshop; a clothing store; a bar and even a cafe. The sixth and seventh warehouses are actually known as the Warehouse 30 market — there is a screening room operated by a documentary club in one corner, a fresh juice bar in another, an upcoming kid’s corner with knick-knacks for children, a corner for vintage materials and crafts and a clothing shop. There are also yoga classes held twice a week and art exhibitions that take place in any one of the warehouses at any point in time. Warehouse 30 is quirky and eclectic and not afraid to be non-traditional. And that’s exactly why it works.

11am – 8pm for the warehouses, 5pm – midnight for the bar. Visit fb.com/ TheWarehouse30 for more info, 02-861-0953.
