FERN GARDEN (Fashion Island, Ram Intra Road,

10am-9pm, until tomorrow) Held under the “Fern Gallery” theme, “The Garden 2017” fair gathers 50 species of ornamental ferns throughout the four zones. They include Sabai Nang Tanawasi, Kanoknaree Iridescenc­e, oak leaf and Elkhorn ferns from around the world, Mermaid’s Tail, and Pyrrosia. Also displayed are 74 pots of hanging ferns as well as cactus, rhipsalis, anthurium and tillandsia. There are terrarium workshops on Nov 11-12 and postcard and tree pot wrap stamping on Nov 18-19. They are open free of charge for customers who spend 500 baht at the fair and will be held four times a day at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. More than 2,000 seedlings of auspicious plants from the Royal Forest Department will be given away. Call 02-947-5000.

CELEBRATOR­Y FLORAL SHOWCASE (Central Chidlom, Phloenchit Road, 10am-10pm, until Nov 20) Held under the concept of “Love and Commitment”, the “Central 70th Anniversar­y” festival features magnificen­t floral decoration­s throughout the seven floors comprising local and imported fresh flowers, especially Ecuadorean roses hailed as the biggest and finest roses of the world. The festival is also running at the adjacent Central Embassy, until Nov 26, and the highlight is a glass house decorated with thousands of flowers and a 19m-long giant flower carpet.
