MEDITATION AND DISCUSSION [Bangkok Shambhala Meditation Center, Yogatique Bangkok Building, Sukhumvit 23, today, 12.30pm-2pm] Those interested in exploring the Shambhala Buddhist teachings are invited to a group meditation practice open to newcomers and experienced practitioners. They will meditate in a supportive group setting and explore how they can integrate the spiritual into the secular and awaken to the joy of fully living in the world. CHARITY YOGA [Victor Club, 2nd floor of FYI Centre, Rama IV, today and tomorrow, 8.30am
5pm] The “Yoga Charity for Pink Park 2018” will feature a number of 90-minute yoga classes in different disciplines to raise funds for the Pink Park Village, a sanctuary for underprivileged women suffering from breast cancer operated by Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation. There will also be a talk on breast cancer and treatment conducted by Dr Sikrit Denariyakoon from the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer on Jan 20 at 11am. T-shirts exclusively designed by actress Ann Thongparom, musician Pod Moderndog and yoga teachers Khru Om and Khru Pong are also available at 480 baht each. IDEAS FESTIVAL [Museum Siam, Sanam Chai
Road, today and tomorrow, 1pm-midnight] The “BangkokEdge Festival 2018” will be packed with educational and entertainment activities, including talks and workshops led by local and international speakers, demonstrations, book launches, food stalls, a market of art and craft products and free concerts by Hugo, Chanudom, Rasmee Isan Soul, Siplor, Yellow Fang and Yena. Many topics of the talks will be presented in the auditorium of Rajini School located nearby while the adjacent Chakrabongse Villas will be opened exclusively for this festival for a guided tour, with only four rounds a day.
