DKSH completes upgrade to local innovation centre

-

DKSH, a provider of market expansion services, has enlarged and upgraded its food and drink innovation centre in Bangkok.

The improved facility will enable DKSH to strengthen its service offerings to partners in confectionery, baked goods, drinks, dairy, processed food and nutritional supplements.

The innovation centre specialises in developing food and drink formulations and provides expert technical support to business partners in Thailand.

The centre develops more than 150 prototypes and 200 formulations a year, including unique bakery products such as mamon cakes, low-sugar muffins and trans-fat-free croissants; functional drinks, fruit/vegetable juices, Greek yoghurt and dairy products; and savoury items such as low-fat sausages, egg-free mayonnaise and low-sodium instant noodles.

Joining a network of seven DKSH food and drink innovation centres (with 14 application laboratories) in Asia and Europe, the Bangkok centre houses some of the industry’s most advanced equipment for development and analysis.

The facility provides a broad range of specialised services such as formulation application, product ideation, development support, stability testing, sensory evaluation, pilot trials and technical training.

In addition, DKSH specialists work closely with a dedicated regulatory team in order to provide consultation and support for the complex regulatory environment of the food and drink industry in Thailand.
